Hi,
I have a Q6600 on an Abit IP35 Pro. For some reason, when Speedstep lowers my multiplier to 6, it stays there, even if I'm running something like Prime95. It's only when I disable EIST (but leave C1E to 'auto'), that the multiplier begins to fluctuate between 6 and 9.
Surely with both set to 'auto' the multiplier should increase to 9 when the CPU is under load?
(I'm getting my information from CPU-Z)
Edit: My Apologies - the problem has been resolved. I thought it might have some relation to the Minimum and Maximum Processor States in the Advanced Power Options. So after playing around in there, I enabled EIST again, rebooted, went to Power Options, but it had already fixed itself for some reason.
