Speedstep won't disable.

I'm currently running an E8400 in an IP35Pro MB.

I can't get the speedstepping to disable. I've disabled it in the BIOS (EISS/EISD?), yet CPU-Z still shows me that the multipliers are being dropped.

Any other methods to turning it off that I'm missing?

Don't know if the two are linked, but after turning that off, my temperature problems with the E8400 have gone...odd!

It wasn't that the temps were too high, they were just sporadic and reading incorrectly (130 to 10...yeah).

Disabling speedstep done nothing for me either and the multiplier drops were annoying me...
