speedtest

well, it uses a different server pretty much every time I run a test.

Ran it a minute ago, and it told me 40mb on my 50mb virgin, then ran it again, different server, and it told me 50mb so theres some major fluctuations

Just use it as a guide really, not an exact figure.

The amount of our Managed Internet business customer use this complaining that the speed isn't accurate...

Both BBMax and Speedtest.net use the same system, just different hosts.
I found that the old London Speedtest.net server was best for me, the others were rubbish.

Best thing to do is find the most consistent one for you and stick to it - and only use it as a guide.

Those are some nice speeds I only get 0.2 upload through sky and around 10mb down,

Anyone know why virgin charge an extra £30 to activate the 100mb service, says in the small print on the website, were you guys charged?

As I understand it you have to be on a infinity enabled exchange to get fibre over sky (from April at an extra £20 per month for upto 40mb) and my exchange isn't on the current rollout plans:(

What are your speeds and price options with infinity?

My download speeds are more like a connection for 35 download

and my upload speeds on youtube are usually around 14-15Mb (3GB video file takes 30 min to upload) so yeah I'm definitely getting more than advertised.
