Speedtouch 330 not working?

im new to mac OS X so i havent got a clue what is wrong with it.

i have installed the drivers that are on the disc, and used the web upgrade.
when i plug the modem in the USB light stays red, it should be green?

so what can i try/do to get it working?

I have just bought a mac and have rang tiscali about connecting to the internet they gave me a speedtouch 330 and it doesnt work either. Decided to buy a router and have no problems. Tiscali didnt know if it was compatible which it clearly isnt. No problem with the speedtouch on the pc but mac doesnt like it.

Get a router you will have no problems then.

You've probably got an Intel mac, whereas the drivers were written for a PPC machine.

That should be what you're looking for.

They are no good either as you have to upgrade from 10.3 to use those, which of course you cant do if your new mac comes with Tiger preinstalled.

Nah, read the readme

Install the drivers from the CD, ignoring any errors. DO NOT plug in the modem. Then run the updater, and finally plug in your working modem

Not sure what will have happened if you've already tried plugging it in though. You should IIRC be able to uninstall the drivers from the network tab to start clean.
