Hey guys,

Just upgraded to this little baby today, and so far so good, apart from…

The wireless wouldn’t work until I changed the channel to 11, now its fine :p

What sort of wireless security should I be using, in the past I’ve always used WPA but with this unit there is also WPA2 or WPA+WPA2 to choose from – I take it WPA2 is just an advance from WPA, and I suppose I can only use it if my wireless adaptors support… Please can someone clarify

I’ve downloaded the latest firmware from the Speedtouch site, but I’ve got now idea of how to apply it?

I’ve created my own user account and deleted the Administrator one, seeing as though I’ll be the only one that’s using it ;)

Finally, does anyone know where I can find my line stats on this router? Attenuation, snr etc.

Cheers,

SW.

Hey guys,

I’ve been advised to change the MTU of my net connection from the ST default of 1500 to either 1458 or 1492.

I’ve got this of the Zen support site:

http://www.zensupport.co.uk/KnowledgeBase/article.aspx?id=10561

I do everything fine:

{Administrator}=>:
ip ifconfig intf=Internet mtu=1492
saveall

Which is fine, but when I reboot the router the setting is defaulted back to 1500 :(

Any ideas?

Cheers ;)

what i do is save the router config file (user.ini) on the desktop then open it up and look for the following below and change the MTU then save it and reup it to the router.

ifconfig intf=LocalNetwork mtu=1500 group=lan linksensing=disabled primary=enabled

and

ifconfig intf=Internet dest=atm_Internet accomp=enabled mru=1500 doddelay=120 dnsmetric=10
Okay, how do I save the .ini file first :(

Also, am I changing the LAN MTU or the WAN MTU? There seems to be a few conflicts on the net
