Hi,

I have about £300 or so to spend on PC upgrades. This is my current PC, not used for gaming at the moment, which is what the £300 will enable me to do.

Heres what I thought about getting:

BFG GeForce 8800 GT OC 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail £149.99
(£176.24)
Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600 "Energy Efficient SLACR 95W Edition" 2.40GHz (1066FSB)£129.99
(£152.74)

Sub Total : £279.98
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : FREE
VAT is being charged at 17.50% VAT : £49.00
Total : £328.98

Worth the CPU upgrade? Just to let you know, I've tried to overclock my current CPU and it just won't give anymore performance than the stock. Thanks

You wont go wrong with a Q6600 and an 8800GT

Just go for the cheapest 512mb version though instead of a BFG and spend the extra on a decent cooler for the Q6600 :D
