Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions

I've finished two levels and I'm really enjoying it. I'm not keen on collectables as you know. I'm also a bit of a whore and it annoys me when so many achievements relate to the same thing.

Like there is an achievement for doing 180 challenges fair enough.
There is also an achievement for collecting 96 hidden spiders.

Now you can't finish the 180 challenges without collecting the spiders.

So without that you can't get enough 'money' to unlock the combat moves and character upgrades.

So I'm playing the game, enjoying it and enjoying the challenges but because I hate collectables and will end up with 160ish challenges instead of 180 done so much of the game won't unlock for me.

Collectables are gay, they ruin the flow of games I don't mind them being there but I hate it when you have to go looking for them, hundreds or more just to unlock parts of the game.

I have to agree. I think I'll finish on about 150-160 challenges. Some of them a bit silly. Still, enjoyable game in the main.

I will replay a few levels for the cheeves, like the one without setting off an alarm but I can't see me grinding out the rest of the challenges. I would if you could just reload a boss or a section where you missed something but I'm not bothered replaying whole levels to find a missing spider :)

I like the flow of the game though. It's not Batman but it's very good none the less.

Certainly better than sniper ghost which sat in my disc drive for all of 2 minutes :D

Sounds if its like Wolverine - its good/polished at what it does, just doesnt aim too high...

ps3ud0

Yeah, I have to say I enjoyed wolverine as well. The combat on this is more prince of persia with massive amounts of combos. It has a more matt finish to the game like last years POP as well.

Stealth takedowns are not as good as batman, in batman you had to be sure no one was watching. On this you can pluck people away next to someone else, they drop the gun and they still don't notice.

A bit more polish and it could have been up there with Batman AA. I love spiderman, so I normally enjoy these games. Batman is just a guy in a rubber suit. Spiderman wins ;)

Finally got them done, now on the vulture fight which seems to be lasting for a week. I got him right down then made a stupid mistake and blew up with the TNT.

My only real critism of this game would be the boss fights, too many fights with the same boss through the level. Beat them down, they run off, beat them down again, run off, massive final fight that can take 20 mins.

Wait till you get to the final FINAL fight then :p

Vulture took a while for me too. Carnage was a real PITA too.

Oh no don't say they get worse! Took me ages to do vulture, the spot lights are rubbish and if he hits you once 2/3rds of your energy is gone!

I was hitting him with webbing to make him drop bombs on himself for ages. Then running away. All the youtube guides I look at on the net are on easy and they beat vulture is about 3 hits.

Given up, it's going back tommorow. 180+ hit combo on that section where you have to protect the scientists and I still couldn't keep them off me. I think I will drop it down to normal and finish it up.

To be fair it's probably not the games fault, your supposed to finish an easier level for the upgrades and then progress. I just wanted to do it in one. Tried that section on normal and barely got hit.

180 hit combo should have been enough to keep those lizards away, alas not.
