Can a Spider cause a short in your PC?

I have one running around inside, can`t catch it!

Remove spider before it dies. When it dies it could start breaking up and parts end up in fans / gold plated connections etc..

I believe wasps might eat spiders, so a few of them in should dispatch the spider, just don't turn on the PC while they fly around.

Leave it in there

It will eat any flies that get inside

As long as the Spider touched a metal part of the case then it shouldn't short anything

Whilst its probably possible, I wouldn't worry too much. Id be much more concerned about it eating me in my sleep.
