Evening

im having a slight issue where, when i would play a game, (does not happen on applications) i would experience spikes, jittering, stutter along with a nasty stutter noise through the speakers. when this happens, the Internet connection will be lost until it reconnects. when quitting the game the mouse or anything via the desktop would stutter too.

please, any help would be much appreciated.

What PSU do you have? Make/model.

Is anything overclocked?

Are you running the latest drivers for everything?

nothing is overclocked. all standard and as for the drivers, all up to date.
PSU is the 750W ANTEC TRUEPOWER Modular

Okay, a few things to try.

Take the CMOS batter out for a minute to reset the BIOS, then put it back and try it again.

Run a memtest, and HD tune to check your RAM and HDD/SSD.

You sure you have the SSD in a Intel SATAIII port?

They are the white ones.

i have double checked the connections and changed connections round also but for some reason the SSD is showing a transfer rate of 3GB/s where as the WD is showing 6GB/s?

You sure its a Vertex3 and not a older 2 or 2E?

Change the SATA cable?

Update the firmware on the SSD?

the firmware is the latest 2.15. (in fact there is a 2.22 released, i will get onto this now)
i took the SATA cable from the WD and used that in the OCZ- to no avail

just updated this to 2.22 and changed the cable to another 6Gbs/s that i had.. still showing 3Gb/s?
