spilled water in my keyboard

so last night i spilled water in my keyboard, some keys worked some didn't. i unplugged it and have been using the onscreen keyboard.

however my mouse started stuttering i uninstalled the drivers and this stopped it, then an hour later it froze completely and i have to keep unplugging it and putting it in a different usb port for it to work.

so im wondering if that water could have caused damage to my system ?

The water would have done damage to the keyboard if you used it while it was wet, but it shouldn't of done anything to the mouse

Are you sure it was just the keyboard that you spilt the water on ?

yeah positive, maybe my mouse is coincidentally dying.

Just get yourself a new keyboard and mouse - they're cheap enough and hopefully they'll work

put the keyboard somewhere hot like near a water boiler for 24 hours.

did this with my phone that got soaked and it worked a treat, maybe it works with keyboards?

damaged usb? try different usb ports for you mouse.

Keyboard has probably died if it doesnt work after drying up for a couple of days.
