....and now it seems my poor keyboard will never work again :(

Got a tad drunk last night, and as I wanted to fall onto my bed, i turned over the entire beer over my poor poor keyboard :(
Because I was in such a state, I didn't even bother trying to dry or clean it :(

So now I have to buy a new one... are there any gaming type keyboard you guys can reccomend?
I used to have the Saitech Gamer's Keyboard thing, with the extra panel ... which I never ever used. I feel like a change though, are there any decent keyboards you guys can reccomend me?

This is where computer shops come in handy. Go down to your local or to PC world and have a look at what's available. They're normally fairly happy to let you have a play, then you can go home and think or trawl the internet (presuming that by getting on here you have a way of doing so) till you find what you like.

Everyone has their own tastes in feel and extra buttons, my favourite are the Microsoft wireless ones. I quite often use the extra buttons but somepeople just find them annoying. Best advice is to find out for yourself.

p.s. I'm not recommending any other shops for purchase reasons just places where you can have physical interaction with your potential devices

If i'm not mistaken thats 3 words, a letter and a number... much like the G15 is the size of about 6 baby elephants :p

The Apple keyboard is actually very nice to use, I personally have the Saitek Eclipse and my friend has the new version of it. Both of them are excellent.

G15, don't own one (couldn't afford it atm lol) but have used one in the shops, they are really nice, pics don't do them justice.

You know, if you just unplug it and clean it up then once it dries out it'll pobably still work. :)
I'd go for dunking it in hot soapy water, and swishing it about.

Then dismantle it, and dry and clean any awkward areas.

Hmm, I'm using my housemate's G15 at the moment and I dont really like it much to be honest .. it really feels way too big :(

Well I would recommend an apple keyboard.

I can play games with it so does that constitute it being a gaming keyboard? :p

Even the wireless one is cheaper than the G15, and by god it looks A LOT better!

Very neat and pleasant to use too.

what's your budget? if you do not want to spend too much, you can just get a basic Logitech keyboard.

Stick it in the dishwasher. It actually works.

Really!!

anyway, since u mentioned this. Actually, i think can try unscrewing the screws at the bottom of the keyboard, remove the circuit board and soak the plastic parts in soap water. Then, let it dry before assembling them back together.

It might be worth a try and save money on getting a new keyboard.

I really wouldn't, that'll just kill it for sure.

Just whack it in a dishwasher if available or wash it in soapy water and let it dry out it a warm/hot room for a while (Couple of days)

hmm, well my budget isn't very much at the moment, so I might try and fix it first. If not, think I might just go for another one of thonse saitek keyboards, without the extra macro panel thingy. Such a great idea, but I never ever use it though

Just pop the keys off, and stick them in your washing up bowl. Cleaning the base will be easy with the keys off too.

Doesn't take long and won't be a prob, just leave it a while to make sure its completely dry before using.
