Spilt drink :s

Hey all, my sister managed to spill her drink all over her Toshiba Tecra A8, and now Vista is complaining that her password isn't working. Unfortunately she didn't create a password reset disk, so atm I'm thinking if we can't sort the password out I'm gonna have to take out the harddrive to get the stuff off it.

Any ideas how to remove the hard drive from this laptop?

its probably typing the wrong letters due to the spillage, try it with a usb keyboard,

Have you let it dry out thoroughly?

One other possibility is that the the Numpad function is on such that a section of the keyboard is being used for numbers instead of letters. Normally there is an indicator and a function key combination to turn it off.

try typing your password into the username field.. that way you can see in clear text if what you think you are typing is what you really are typing
