Has anyone used this program? Ive got a HDD that is on its way out, and was hoping to try to fix the problem if poss.

if the drive is on its way out i'd replace it, spinrite can recover damaged sectors and mark them as unusable but if more sectors keep failing its not much of a fix.

I have used Spinrite several times to recover from bad sectors and it is good at what it is for.

I totally agree with deadite66 that it sounds like it is time to get a new drive.

Its a WD Passport HDD, can I take the internal out and replace it using the casing?
