i can understand passion about football but to take it so seriously that you have to constantly try and degrade a rival team and its supporters shows your intellect and respect for your fellow man.
im a celtic fan but dont take football that seriously anymore, its just a game and there are idiots on both sides. ive only been to 1 game this year, celtic's champions league qualifier which they lost 1-0 at home, for the first time in so many years in europe. i cant even remember the team they played, just shows you how i couldnt care less.
this thread will always cause problems, from both rangers and celtic fans, the only solution i can see is instead of replying to stupid posts, why not simply report them? also the dons have to be more clued up about it and start handing out suspensions, maybe incremental suspensions? 3 days, then a week, then 2 weeks, then a month. its the only way it will work. maybe having a scottish don or two would help?
how about copying the random image thread in general discussion? you have rules at the start, if you break them you get suspended. it doesnt matter what your excuse is, you should read the rules and follow them. theres at least a few people who get suspended every day in that thread, having similar type of treatment to wrong doers in the SPL thread would be better.
