2 x 1Gb Coarsair RAM
8800GTS 640mb

First things first that I did was wack the res up to 1280 x 1024 and max out all the settings in the game.

And well im not too impressed.

The black thing that look like the Loch Ness monster is actually Sam Fisher.

Ill get some better screenshots when it is light, when I can be bothered playing it again.

Oh and it looks insane in the first traing, only his head is visible and his body is black and it is strached on the floor like a shadow and that door is like 3 mile high, and the face is the picture is like 6 foot wide lol.

I'm guessing you might want to check your gfx card drivers ;)

LOL Got the latest ones from Nvidia website.

Going to get the latest patch for the game in a bit. Dont know when I will bother to play it agina though. :)

I've never heard of anyone just playing this game with no problems, there is always some sort of significant bug going...
Brilliantly made game, good choice from the developers to rush it out before it was finished.

I haven't had any problems myself, unless you count the rubbish performance and bad coding as a problem.

I have heard of people having serious problems with this game running on an 8800 series card. You're not the only one with the problems and i dont think the latest patch solves it either.

However, if you can get it working eventually i found it to be quite enjoyable. I still haven't finished it yet though so i could still run into some major bug that spoils it.

I wouldn't be so surprised, your card isn't supported and you're running it on vista too.

Turn off the high quality shader or whatever it's called.

yeah i've had numerous crashes running on an 8800

i think you do need to turn off the high detail shader to help it run on that card.

i've thoroughly enjoyed the series but after the last crash have not played it since.

Disable AA as it does not support HDR + AA on some if not all Nvidia cards.

That looks like the sort of corruption you get when both are enabled at once.

The games looks fantastic on my old 7800GTX512 @ 1920x1200.

same problem here, I rebooted and then it worked fine. Then got some serious lag runing running AA, and I was running an 8800GTS with the latest patch :(

Wwish ubisoft spent time with this port, chaos theory was a brilliant game...

can you run with AA, I can't only HDR to get playable performance.

I could run it with AA but, like you said, you get a horrible performance drop. I just run it with HDR and everything else on full.

Running fine here on a 8800 GTS 320mb although initially it wouldnt run at all. Had to make a shortcut of the .exe to bypass the launcher. Runs maxed with X4 AA except the Cruise liner level where I have to reduce it to X2 AA. No Hdr though. The Game is patched fully and was using the 97.92 drivers. Not tried it with the 97.94 yet.
