Went to install Splinter cell Chaos theory on my Windows 7 7100 machine to play some Co-op with a friend and it seems that it is unable to be played on Windows 7.

I've tried all the compatibility modes and did some searches but no one offers any concrete solutions to get it working.

I've patched the game to the latest version which is 1.5 and when i try to run the .exe it says "Error. This application can be launched with a release version of Microsoft 95 OSR2/ME/NT/2000.XP / Server 2003 only.

Has anyone had success installing and playing this game on a windows 7 machine??

Yeah your right, and with the length of time Ubisoft likes to patch their games I doubt there will be an official patch in the near future.

Damnit was looking forward to some Co-op

Tried that download and it just says "No Installed Protection Drivers found to Update"

Hopefully Ubisoft releases a fix once Windows 7 is out officially and not seen as a Beta operating system.

I have some instructions to get this to work, but they use a NoCD (even if you have a legit disk) which would get my account nuked.
Anyone interested? I could work some way of getting them hosted. Or message me, not sure if it'll work though.

Actually it works perfectly with Win 7 but you have to crack it. A quick Google for "chaos theory vista" will help you find the answers.

Email me. Email in trust.

Sent, like I say I can't guarantee it but I've duplicated it on two other PCs perfectly.

@above - It does, but it won't display properly, that's the problem I spent ages trying to solve. Also sometimes you just get looped by starforce, the fixed EXE will fix this.

(side note: i did this because Ubisoft aren't rolling out a patch, I had a long battle with support about this)
