Ive never been a big fan of the Splinter Cell series. I put it down to when i was a kid sitting in my room with my Packard Bell, thinking i was cool because i just went and got myself the very first splinter cell game.

A few seconds later i was gutted when it ran terribly, and was solid as wrought iron gurders to play. Recently though, slightly aged and with a better pc in hand i thought id try the newest one.

I must say im very impressed. So far ive only done the first mission, but the story is cinematic and well explained. A combination of action music and being sly made the first mission very enjoyable. If the rest of the games like this i will be pleased with my £7.99 purchase.

Fully patched up, the game looks great too.

Any one else been surprised, or enjoy this game ?

I was surpised how buggy the games is. I don't think it's a patch on the original. The first game made you use stealth tactics to progress but this one let you get away with combat easily. I've still yet to complete it as I basically got bored with it tbh. Shame really, as i normally love stealth games.

You can get away with brute force. But the rewards and stealth % rating at the end of the mission sort of forced me to keep trying until i did the whole mission without being seen once.

I never played the first all the way through, might try it after this one though.

Chaos Theory was the high point of the stealthy Splinter Cell games.

I didn't really like PT or DA, the original was ok though.

I am however strangely looking forward to the new effort, with it seemingly taking a fresh new way of playing the game.

I bought DA and I really shouldn't have. It was appallingly buggy.

I couldn't play it for a while due to bugs and what not.

Theif 3 : Deadly Shawdows is a superb title. One of my favourite on the PC and definately better than the Splinter Cell series.

Where is Theif 4!
