If you spilt water on the keyboard, the keyboard is what is damaged, the port will be fine unless you got water in that (which I doubt). Try leaving it to dry a little longer or just replace it.

Depends if the control board got wet, most of the keyboard is just an array of switches, if you short them with water it think your just pressing lots of keys :D no keyboard to test with? worst comes to worse, go usb!

PS2?

It's not very lickely, and keyboard can take ages to dry out (I had one in an airing cupboard for 3 days), sometimes the shorting kills them and they never work again.

Since keyboards are so cheap (and spares are always handy) I'd just buy a replacement.

turn on legacy usb in your bios

go to the bios and set the bios to control the USB keyboard not the OS (someone may provide a better or more detailed explanation later if you can not understand this post)

Have you tried taking your keyboard apart? Might be worth it and then you can find any remaining damp spots inside and dry them off with some kitchen towel. And if taking it apart doesnt go quite as planned, its broke anyway so you cant do any more damage to it!

PK!
