hey guys, whats the difference between the 2 settings? im not running SLI, only a 6800GS, so should i set it to the combined one?

Cheers

You can do either, as I understand it if you have it as dual rail but you take more power than either of the dual rails can supply the Tagan auto-switches to single rail. I'd probably put it on single rail anyway but I'm just used to single rail PSUs really.

I run the 430W on a single rail. No idea whether it is making any difference but it replaced a dual rail Antec that simply wouldn't power up the system at all!

is that split / combined switch not for the ATX / ATX 2.0 connector ? ( you can split it for ATX ode, or combine it with another cable for ATX2 )

I run combined myself, found I needed to for stability on my SLI system. It's to allow combined or split 12V rails.

oh... well you learn somthing new evryday :P

so im presuming combined is using both of the 12V cables, and split is if your just using one ?
WHY cant it just tell you than in simple terms in the instructions :S

Combined means all 12V rails come off a single feed, split means the rails are split accross two feed's. I don't know the technicallity's of why split is meant to be better but n both cases all 12V lines are available.

Theres been some issues with ati cards in crossfire taking too much power for split rails to handle. Ive just left my tagan on combined but then i dont have a power hungry graphics card.
