Splitgate. Halo and Portal's love child

Haven't seen much on the forums about this free to play gem. I only started playing it last night but I can tell I'm going to be hooked. It's quite confusing using the portal mechanics but I managed to shoot a portal behind someone and kill them from behind whilst I was stood technically in front of the enemy team.

it literally has my favourite modes from Halo being SWAT and Shottys and Snipers.

it's free to play and so far I can't see any pay to win mechanics but I can see myself getting sucked into this game. It'll have a high skill ceiling that I'll never come close to touching

I did check but clearly I didn't look hard enough!

Well I'd not heard of it before, looks interesting.

It's really good fun. The portals really change up the gameplay. Sometimes you feel like an MLG Pro when it goes to plan. Mostly just get confused and lose my orientation

It's surprisingly addictive and fun.

I've mostly been playing Modern Warfare (2019) on Hardcore mode the last few years for my go-to shooter and it's refreshing playing a game where you actually have a bit of a shoot out to get kills rather than a who-saw-who first.

It's making me want to get the new Halo when it arrives.
