Splitscreen Gaming - How Important?

I don't use it that often but it's definitely annoying to see it ebbing out of games. You buy a game first of all because you think it'll be good on single player or online multiplayer but usually end up with the same disappointing result when you check the back of the case to see if it has offline multi-player.

That's even despite split screen being extremely annoying.

It's far easier to play with friends over XBL/PSN than go to the effort of having friends round.

Open the curtains, look at the people, maybe go interact, get some friends over and have fun.

Or just speak to friends over a crappy headset whilst holed up in a dark room :p

Haha, that's genius, why did we never think of that? Mashed was pure awesomeness.

hehe it was, especially when people started with the 'WTF' and cheating shouts. Just get to the u-bend at the end, and as the other person is about to accelerate onto the straight, slam it in reverse and go. The camera will be following them, but you will be along side. You will get to some good weapons first and then can drive off first or kill them with some weapons :D

I'm out of the house for 14 hours a day, so coming home from work and jumping on XBL before bed for an hour or two is more convenient.

but it doesnt affect my purchases as im normally the only one to play my consoles

*edit - console - singular, forgot i sold the 360 :(
