Splitting Audio Between front and rear port

Hey guys,

I have just noticed a bit a bummer with my new build. I recently changed from an old Z77 Sabertooth board to a Maximus Hero X.

On the old board the Realtek drivers enabled me to have the front and rear jack stream different audio so I could have the game playing out the speakers then TS/Discord playing on my headset.

The new drivers on the Maximus don't seem to be doing that and windows (10) just views it as "Speakers" so as soon as I plug the headphones in all the audio is streamed to there and my rear port doesn't even show.

Any ideas?

In my realetk audio config I can do it exactly as you describe it - I'm using a Strix Z270 ITX

Edit - in the realetk programme, there's a cog in the top right I believe

You need to click "Make front and rear output.... blah blah"

From the Realtek Sound Manager -> Options

We may or may not have the same skin, but it's the same steps.

The problem I have is I don't have the good old Realtek software, Asus now uses "Sonic Studio" which has no options for front panel controls that I can see.

This is what I have:

Thanks guys, just uninstalled all audio drivers then installed both Asus and Realtek software, now have the proper stuff to split the feed :)
