Is there anyway I can tell a program to use a particular audio output?

I've got two screens on my computer, one is my normal monitor, the other is my tv. The tv is connected via hdmi so I can play the audio through that, but at the minute I can only choose one or the other; my pc speakers or my tv speakers.

I'd like to be able to separate the audio so a game would use the pc speakers, while windows media player would use the tv speakers. Is this possible?

I'm using windows 7 and if I select sound and go to playback devices I can see both the pc speakers and tv speakers are available and I can run a test on both of them to show they're working, just not sure how to split it.

Thanks for any help.

If the program you are using lets you choose which output you want to use, then it shouldn't be a problem, just check the options under audio output.
Windows itself will not let you do it as far as I know.
