Hey guys,
Presumably when the 2 BT wires enter our homes they are carrying both ADSL and Phone signals
Now, following a suggestion from a former BT engineer :-
If my master socket does not incorporate a built-in ADSL filter is it possible to split the output myself?
If I were to say add two more wires (Currently unused Orange/White and White/Orange) to points A and B on the master socket and joined them through the rest of the houses extension wiring (About 15m) and terminated them at a BT NTE5 faceplate with an ADSL filter built-in, would I have a reasonably well filtered line, free of all interference from phone devices etc…
I know it sounds a bit long winded and I’m not sure if it would even work, but if it did there would be no need to additional microfilters around the rest of the house would there? And I would also have a totally dedicated ADSL line going to my room
Maybe improving my stats a little bit too
Please could someone put me straight?
Cheers,
SW.
