8 cores for like £159 is actually insane. It was only 2017 when 4 cores was like £270 on launch. Poor suckers who paid that (he says looking angrily at his 5820k - which yes is 6 cores but cost a fortune).

The prior generation's 8 core 1700 actually went as low as £105-110

The only ones I can find on the website are £599 which is expensive, not sure why the £120 price difference compared to other sites. Even if they are overclocked it ain't worth the extra cost on top, overclocking is not exactly difficult. Found some in stock elsewhere for £470. Maybe the price increase is down to stock shortage? Poor reason to be honest when they are in stock elsewhere if that is the case.
