Okay, this is going to sound horribly like a conspiracy against me, by my computer - but i'm going to explain it anyway and hope you guys can help! :)

Okay, i have downloaded a few things recently from DC++(When i was at Dreamhack), and a few other random things since then or files such as screenshots from CoD4, yet they are nowhere to be found or seen.

They shoulld be saved to program files/dc++/downloads, yet
it is completely empty - on the day i downloaded them i could go to the finished downloads list and play any music or the like from there - so they had to have existed on my computer, although i cant even search for them.

My C: drive is 150gb, after adding up the amounts taken up by my folders - it adds up to around 30-40gb. Here is the strange part, i only have 65gb free?

So i'm beginning to think it is all still there somewhere, yet i cant find or search for it.. it's invisible, not showing up as an invisible file but it IS taking up the space..

Sorry if none of this made sense, i'm a bit tired, but help? haha :)

Are you using Vista?

If you are you may find the files in c:\programdata\dc++\downloads. I think programdata is a hidden folder so you will need to set it to be viewable first.

In my computer Tools->Folder Options (Press alt down to get the old style menus to popup). Click the view tab then scroll down the advanced settings box until you find Hidden Files and Folders, and select Show hidden files and folders. That should be all you need to do, and you should be able to see the folder in your c:\ drive.

It may be classed as a protected operating system file, in which case you would have to scroll down further and untick Hide protected operating system files. I can't check at the moment though as I'm on XP. :(
