About how many planets will there be per game? Few thousand was it?

it's the nature know, as agmes get more complex so does the design time and even more the de-begging and testing time. Just doing the gfx can take years know. It's only going to get worse, especially as real physics starts to creep in.

True, however I would personally prefer them then not to tell us so long before the game is released, about the game. Thus not building up the Hype so long before.
I know it's an evil Marketing ploy that pushes up profits, but in an ideal world... ;)

No, I think there is a few thousand stars, and each has on average 4-6 planets :eek:
 
The news about Spore came during a quarterly earnings report from EA during which it issued a warning about future profits.

The company said it could no longer depend on profits from Spore in the financial year that ends in March 2008.

Oh no :( , the news i didnt want to see. Its the only game ive actually been looking forward too.

So much for the procedural saving developement time. Although I guess its really the first time its been done.

Meh i want it now! It seems fine to me :) Why would it take them till 2009 to finish?

I mean look at stalker...how many years of development - which led to it becoming an anti climax and not looking as impressive in comparison to other games being released.

I think if i tell my friend this news, he will cry :p

Ah but its the gameplay which lasts forever! Games like Mafia, Deus Ex, Stalker will never get old! :)
