I doubt it, I have the feeling the novelty value will wear off very very quickly and it'll just get boring.

Also @ the release date - I'll believe it when I see it.

End of the year? wasn't it meant to be out somtime last year then the end of last year\early this year now its the end of this year? :confused:


Assuming "holidays" means christmas, if it was an american id say that means end of the year.

I think you could be sucking those words up. if done properly this could be the Sims all over again. And lets remind ourselves that is the most successful game of all time (maybe WoW will overtake it)

No doubt it has potential but I'm not optimistic of its longetivity. Perhaps if Sid Meier were to have built it as a Civ5 then I'd be more inclined to think we have a hero on our hands.

I guess we'll wait and see.

Now that could be a good game!

I think after a while people will just get bored of the childishness of it, just like the Sims.
 
Im with Zefan on this one, The initial trailer looked amazing but each trailer since has looked worse and worse, I don't think its going to be anything special.
 
Going to need to see a lot of good reviews to get interested in this one again. Lost interest when it went past it's early '07 deadline. Was hoping this would be a late Q1 early Q2 game release but it's delayed again. Arg!
 
i'm sure that EA have ruined this, like they've done for every other game they've ever published or produced.
 
I think its changed too much since it was first announced. It once was cool idea but now i think hmm it will probably be too dumbed down when it finally comes out because it was taking too long to develope.

now, Starcraft 2 on the other hand :D
its been in development long before anyone knew about it, so Blizzard were under no time constraints at all! :D
 
are they still going to do the online section?

e.g when you can explore worlds, you can see other people's online, and visit them?

I hope they do, I buy it then, otherwise... be boring by yourself

Exactly what I was thinking. I looked good initially, but they seemed to have simplified (:D)it a bit to much. However, although they may loose out on the "hardcore" crowd from doing this, it will prove a lot more popular with the average casual pc owner.
