What it says on the tin really. Who fancies a get together for a pint and a kebab during the World Cup?

Usual rules apply- no under 18s etc.

Choose a city, preferably Liverpool as it's the football capital of the UK, and get our drink on...

Who's up for it then?

List of names expressing an intrest in attending:

Youstolemyname
G|mp
Semi-Pro Waster
Tummy
El Dazza
Woohoo
Manic111
Freefaller
DanH84
Loki

Stuck in Liverpool with drunkenmaster sounds like a recurring nightmare Id rather not have...

Brums good - can show you around a Top 4 ground too - be useful for you 'pool fans to take some notes :p:D

ps3ud0

i've been there a few times, was pretty rubbish to be honest. Currys were ok in brum tho.

Lappys not that good and dear...

so what date/match then? gotta be a weekend really

/edit the match is irrelevant really, and probs best not an England game or places will be full of whoppers.

Saturday fixtures below:

Saturday, 12 June 2010
Argentina v Nigeria, Gp B, 15:00
England v USA, Gp C, 19:30
South Korea v Greece, Gp B, 12:30

Saturday, 19 June 2010
Cameroon v Denmark, Gp E, 19:30
Ghana v Australia, Gp D, 15:00

After that it's quarter finals etc.

19 June gets my vote, less En-ger-lund divvies going to be out and about...

have updated the OP to reflect those that I think have expressed an interest in attending. Apologies if I have missed you out!

Simply post after this post the words 'I am interested in coming along' and I will add your name to the list. Makes it easier than trawling through all sorts of random posts then.

In terms of hotels, I can heartily recommend the Crowne Plaza after living in it for nearly 2 years. Very close to Broad St, clean and not too expensive on weekends. Failing that there are plenty of others...

I lived in the Crowne Plaza next to the mailbox for near enough 2 years. There are loads of bars along broad street that will have footy on- Walkabout, Lloyds etc etc. Proper townie bars though and not normally where I would drink out of choice.

Mailbox only had one bar which I forget the name of that showed the footy and then only on normal TV not Sky, it was mostly food places.

Brindley place is close by too.

Will have a look at how I am fixed and may book a room down there..
