Sorry but this type of account does not compare to a free invited account, 20hrs a month? Try having a few parties on campus and see how long that lasts.

I'm pretty sure my 'old' free account is now limited to 20hrs.

Edit: Actually I don't think it is limited, as the limited one is called 'open'

I am so confused by all this...

I have had a Spotify account (never paid a penny for it) since they started... Use well over 100 hours a month listening to songs and have never had a issue. Only things are the adverts which have become a little more frequent.

If you have an invite account its still unlimited.

All new "open" invite accounts are limited to 20 hours a month - I'm not sure if this is actual listening time or the sum of the tunes you listen to i.e. repeatedly listening to the same tune wouldn't use up your 20 hours - but 5 minutes or whatever of it instead - hopefully someone can confirm one way or the other.

I got the free invite account when there was the loophole by clicking a link.
