OK, i already subscribed to Spotify. so i'm trying to setup a routine so that when I say "alexa goodnight" she will turn on the bedroom lamps set volume to 5 and play my own made-up playlist which is called David's Songs .. and that's the problem. It will not play any of my playlists .. but if I change the routine to play any artist. I name or any song I want. It will play no problem at all. The problem is, it will not play your own playlists .. amazon technical support have told me that it won't play the playlists from your library on spotify. and spotify say it should .. anyway please should I forget about the routine, and stick with Spotify or go over to Amazon Music where they see it will work. thank you very much for reading my post. I hope I have made it clear as to what I want

thanks for the reply but what if I want a routine somewhere else in the house? On my other devices to play Spotify playlists, it won't. That's what I'm bothered about.
you don't need to open the app to press play. You just give a command. or are you winding me up?An automated bedtime routine is a new one for me, I’ll need to look this up and see what else I can do with the 30 seconds I’m saving from opening the app and pressing play.
