Hi i constantly have Spotify running/ playing music while im at the PC.

Ive noticed since ive used Spotify when browsing the web, sometimes web pages take a long time to load and to refresh and a few times the router has froze reset.

Is Spotify the most likely culprit or something else? the freezing and reseting of the router is most likely something else but slow web browsing is this down to spotify?

Spotify has a P2P system, so you are uploading to a number of other users. This could be saturating your line or causing a problem elsewhere.

I've been using Spotify and notice you can block uploading to other clients altogether without any loss of functionality. You can also restrict the ports, Spotify will fall back to port 80 or 443 (for your information I block all ports but 443 to Spotify servers themselves) if it can't use others.

So I guess you could try that. Blocking Spotify from uploading at the firewall and see if it helps.

(Yeah yeah, I know it's not morally right to block uploading but I have to on my 3G connection during certain times of the day else it borks out)
