I recently registered to www.spotify.com

it took a while to get accepted but hell its great. any music, anytime, streaming to your PC.

It is pretty good, although it's missing a lot of non "mainstream" music.

I tried it for awhile but I think I'll be sticking with Last.FM for my streaming needs for the time being.

much of the music has gone now, 2 weeks ago if you searched for 'tool' it had most of their albums up there, now there is hardly any of their materiel

you can sign up now without an invite. It's a very good service, seems to be better quality than last.fm but that could just be me. It's better if you want all music by one artist rather than by genre in which case I use last.fm

got blocked in the uk, still available in the us though. think it was too costly to run for the uk due to price per song or something like that

It's missing a lot of mainstream music as well..

It also needs a suggested music thing, based on your own ratings.

Was wondering, roughly how much bandwidth does it take up to stream music to your PC? Trying to deceide whether it is worth the risk of getting cuaght at work or not!

Well Spotify streams at 160kbps which is roughly 0.16mbps. Bandwidth is around 72mb per hour.
