I might be late on the uptake here - open public beta started in February - but I have to say this is one of the most impressive streaming music apps I've ever used :p

It finds pretty much everything mainstream I've chucked at it (although it's missing a lot from the futurepop/EBM/industrial genres), and every song starts playing instantly - no waiting for a buffer whatsoever!

In the music subforum, someone recommended a band I'd never heard of - looked them up on Spotify, listened to the full album, and enjoyed it. No need to listen to samples, or pirate the CD to listen before I buy.

I recommend everyone get a Spotify account - either that or recommend me an even better app!

Gets 2 big thumbs up from me - registered this evening and it's great :D
The quality is great, the track starts playing instantly and the audio adverts on the free service are pretty painless to listen to.

Just installed it now. My brother had been talking about it for awhile, but didn't really take much interest. But wow, its pretty darn good!

I use it at work when the radio starts to annoy me with all the conversations. I find it very good, i have listened to it for hours on end over the last couple of months.

A mate of mine was telling me about this the other day, just checking it out now looks pretty cool

Yeah it's fantastic, I use this rather than buying music now. The odd advert doesn't bother me too much, the sound quality is fantastic.

Some odd artists missing though, no Metallica (suprise) Oasis, Beatles - hopefully they'll come around in the end.

Loads of karaoke style for the really big artists.

Fantastic program, been using it for a month or so now. There are a couple of bands that I quite enjoy listening to that are missing, but i'm still impressed with the collection they have.

Yep I love it. Songs play instantly at a quality that's high enough for me and I love the way the ads are done, they don't bother me at all.

I was also pleasantly suprised to find they have a huge classical catalogue which I wasn't expecting, virtually EMI and Sony's entire catalogues and various other labels, although still lacking big names like DG, Philips, Decca, Hyperion etc.

Could have saved tons of money on CDs if this had been around a few years ago. :p

Been playing with it lately, although the radio mode could be a lot better as at the moment it's quite terrible. However sites like http://www.spotifyfriends.com/ seem a good way of getting a list of music to listen to.

Oh, and wow it finds and plays tracks very quickly.

Just rocking out to some Refused - they've only got the E.P. compilation but pretty impressed with this. Quality is excellent and you can't tell it's being streamed at all.
