spray painting

okay i think i know how to spray paint alumium

1) sand to bear metal
2) tac cloth away all dust
3) apply 2-3 layers of etch primer
4) lightly sand
5) apply 2-3 layers of normal primer
6) lightly sand
7) apply 2-3 layers of color paint
8) sand

okay i think that is right, now how do i paint plastic? i know u need different primer but do i need etch primer and then normal primer or just scruff it up and apply paint?

and it might pay to put a laquer over the top of it all to seal it in

I dont think there is a need for normal primer after etch primer... Might also need more colour coats, especially if your going for a darker colour as it'll make the colour seem deeper...

erm the question was how to paint plastic talking about spray paint any one know a good online store for them? and what is the best brand of primers and paint available in uk?
