Spraying fence?

Ive just done ours with that same sprayer
Having never used one before it was relly easy
yes its a little patchy but the fences are about 10 years old and never treated so seriously dry.
I would recommend giving them a go
No issue with overspray unless you go really close to the edge (just finish the top edges with a brush)
I even used normal brush on rather than sprayer specific stuff, found out afterwards it can get a bit gunked up inside, first two pots were fine second two clearly had more waxy stuff in them.

I tried a sprayer first..
1. the spray mist carries everywhere and sticks to everything.. cars, windows ...
2. the spray stuff is about 5 times thinner than the normal stuff - QED you spend 5 times the amount because it dries and you see straight through it.
3. spray nozzles are prone to blocking and then the spray mist gets larger blobs in it.

I tried the rollers.. just as painful.

I went back to a brush and standard stuff.. works better in my opinion.

Buy new windows? That's a bit extreme isn't it? Not sure i've heard of any paint that wouldn't come off glass.

It comes off the glass, but NOT the frames. I used a sprayer at my last house - never again. There was very little wind, but still masses of overspray. If you have concrete posts, bear in mind that they will get oversprayed and the paint doesn't come out of them either. For days afterwards I kept finding other places the stuff had drifted onto.

I done a section of my fence today about 5m long 1.8m high took about an hour using a large roller and a brush to reach tricky parts. Def rollers all the way for me some of the paint has run through to the neighbors side but same happened to my side when they done theirs.

Painting fences is the most soul destroying job you can ever do.

Neighbour is putting new concrete fence posts in and we have decided to keep the rail and lath fence so earlier in week I moss killered it - must go out now and pressure wash it. Arrrrrrr !!

Leave him to paint it although I want to creosote it - moss won't grow back then.

I can feel a headache coming on already.
