Spraying Rads?

For those you that have sprayed rads how did you got about it?

Did you just tape the fins or put a piece of cardboard under the fan mounts?

Did you just tape up a fitting in the threads?

Did you just go straight to priming the rad then putting colour on? How many layers?

Thinking of spraying my rads once i get them.

I could take mine apart, the core came out then just sprayed it. If this can't be done, cardboard or newspaper over the core and then some in the fitting hole to stop pain getting in. Then you can get right up to the thread without painting it.

Acid etch primer and then paint over the top. As many coats of black until it looked good.

It comes in a spray can so by holding down the little button it sprays out of the nozzle

Cardboard and some cheap barbs, give the the rad a light sandown, primer, then your colour but in light coats, once done lacquer.
