Sprint Booster?

All it does is shorten the throw of the pedal, making it seem like the engine is responding quicker. Akin to the 1/5th turn throttle mod on a motorbike. Theres quite a few threads on this now, try using the search.

Really? It's an electronic device. The pedal travel remains the same.

Surely shortening the throw would be a mechanical change, no?

If it is drive by wire then 100% throttle can be set to any position on the pedal, so an electrical device can do it, and you will just have an area where the throttle won't change position. Pointless really.

All it does is tell the ECU that the 5% throttle increase you achieved with your foot is 10%. The simple solution the rest of the world use is putting your foot down further. You'll find this gives exactly the same results :)

it will make a slow car initially feel quicker and then there will be loads of pedal travel that does nothing

sounds like a great mod

the VXRs have this from the factory

its called the sport button, and it adjusts the ammount of pedal travel required to apply a certain ammount of throttle pressure

eg hold the pedal 1/4 of the way down. Press the sport button and you can hear the revs pick up as more throttle is applied for the same pedal travel.

Makes the car seem more responsive as it means more throttle is applied for less pedal travel.

The website reads as if it removes the small delay between the throttle position sensor and the ECU reacting?

Yes, this is what I mean, by continually monitoring the signal and amplifying where / when necessary

Surely all the E60.net Americans can't be dumb???? oh, wait....:(
