Sorry - can't help

SPSS was in my nightmares at university though, i'm not sure ANYONE knows how to use it :P

I have a folder in my documents at home called Carly SPSS. My friend, Carly, used my pc to get some stuff off the internet about it. She tried to explain it to me back then (4 years ago), all I remember now is SPSS.

And sorry, can't help. :P

Hmm, maybe some simple descriptives? I recommend the Andy Field book or any SPSS for beginners book as a walkthrough. Will try and help if I can (did a Masters in Psych research so should be able to!).

i found someone else has done exactly what i want to do on the internet he has a Z score and a p score and is the p score is <0.5 then the hypothesis is true
anyway how do you do these simple descriptives?

I'm on a train at the min and can't remember the menus off the top of my head
, but I think you'll have to go... analyze ----> descriptives -----> *might be another menu can't remember* ------> check skewness and zatorski (sp) to give z score and p value.

If you haven't got it by this evening, ill check my work and postup when I get to my girlfriends. It's pretty simple so shouldn't be too hard to work out. But what you have found out about the p value being <0.05 and the hypothesis is correct.

What is it for? Have you never used SPSS before?
