How on gods green earth do you get tomtom to install. i have tried to get tomtom5 to work and get all types of errors when i try to run/install it.

Now i have been told i need to create certain folders on the Storage card for it to wrk, but not sure what to make.

Anyone got a step by step guild for a idiot with a C600?

I take it it it's an original copy?

It belonged to my mates phone, a S60 i think and now he has a car with it built in, so he gave it to me thinking if it worked on one phone it would work on all phones. But i think we may be wrong about that lol..

So yes its origanal, no i didnt buy it for this SPV C600 phone though... :(

Any ideas which flavour of tomtom to get for a SPV C600?

Is it just the Tom Tom Navigator software you use and not the Tom Tom Mobile?

I'm kinda wondering the same thing, I think navigator is for pocket pc so that should work.

The SPV C600 needs TomTom Mobile to work and it has to be the right version. There are different versions for the different phone operating systems. If your friend has the CD, they should all be on there and during install via your PC you select the appropiate version. If your friend just got his TomTom on a memory card it will probably only have a version of TomTom suitable for his phone (Nokia I'm guessing). Even if you get the CD from your friend, I suspect it will be an older version and that may not work on the C600. The latest version is available for download from TomTom, but you need to be a registered user.

Cheers all for the replies, guess its off to tomtom i go to see what version i need.

Now been told that its the active sync that kills the program on the C600 - not sure how true this is, but will find out if he has the CD, if not, will just have to buy the thing.

Thanks for the help :)
