Spy Sherif - How do i remove all of it?

Dad got this Spy Sherif thing installed on his PC, totally screwing it over runs scans on start up ect, thing is he said it only started doing this after he logged out of his banking account :/

Not knowing much about it i done a google and found this site with a removal tool...

Now i dont know anything about this... How trustworthy is this site? I just dont want to end up making it worse than it already is.
Also read that a format will be better? omg :/

Gonna go along this afternoon to check it out, any help before i go is appreciated

yes a format is better with spy sherif as this took me ages to get rid of last time i had it i also must have used every spyware/adaware/antivirus program on the market at that time

just formatt it because hell have other spyware/adaware/viruses aswell as spysherif

depends how serious the infection of spy sherif is

if theres loads of red crosses in the bottom right hand corner of the task bar
then theres note u can do besides a format

if its just installed into the computer with no red crosses or few red crosses then ye spysweeper is your proggi

run a good spyware cleaner and AV program with the PC disconnected from the net and then check with hijackthis or something. Also try booting in safe mode then scanning.

Ive recently been infected by this and did a scan with spysweeper but asked me to buy it after the scan so im thinking the spy sherif hasnt gone, is there a free spysweeper out there maybe I downloaded the wrong one (Company was webroot)

In the end i gave in, nothing was working i formated. If i done that from the start i woulda saved a lot of time

Quoted for the truth, I see nothing but tedious spyware/virus issues on pcs daily and I just suggest just clean format and restore winXP and stop messing about !

No one got time to spend half a day running scans/removal tools and then u delete 500 spyware and 1 left and whole cycle repeat again forgot that!
