Spybot with a USB stick

Can I run Spybot Search & Destroy from a USB stick. I currently run it on my PC but still find it has slowed down IE8 even with no immunization.
I would like to check my Netbook for Spyware but am loathe to install Spybot. If I can run it occasionally from a USB stick I would consider doing the same on my PC too.
Can it be done? Thanks

MalwareBytes would be my personal reccomendation mate, I'm a big big fan of SpyBot but after tests in work we found MalwareBytes to be more effective.

Cheers for the advice but can I run it from a stick or must it be installed?

spybot can be run from a usb stick as i have it on one just incase

as far as i'm aware malwarebytes can't be though

anything you run on an infected system is tainted, be better to run something outside of windows.

Thanks for the replies.
Can you ell me how to install it on a USB stick as I am having some difficulties.
First I downloaded the file and installed it onto the stick, but it corrupted the installation I already had on my PC.
I have now uninstalled S&D on my PC and tried again to install it on the stick but it still wants to install certain files to my PC C: drive as well as start up icons which I unticked.
Any advice please. Do I need to make a new installation on my PC and copy the whole directory tyo my stick or do certain files get copied to a windows directory. Thanks again for some help
