SpybotSearch & destroy error

keep getting this annoying error while trying to perform a scan:



windows Vista 32bit (SP2)
new windows install (1week old)

tried uninstalling and reinstalling spybot.
done a virus check via MSE no problems
done a malware check via MBAM no problems.

any ideas guys ?

Just a wild guess... Have you configured it to check for suspicious software on a pen drive/external drive that is not plugged in currently?

nope.
bit i did fix it.
reasigned my external hard drive a new drive letter. not sure how that fixed it because it wasnt involved in the scan lol.
