Heyhey, I keep geting pop-ups. Bit of a git because it minimises games to desktop grr. So far i've tried (all fully updated) ad-aware, spybot s+d and the windows defender (beta 4 i think). I've tried them in safe mode too. But alas no joy :(.
I have instaled a few random proggys recently though whilst trying to recover some data from a second drive.. Active@undelete, o+o unerase, EasyRecovery Professional. I'm guessing it came with one of these, but having uninstalled them, it hasn't left with them grr.

Any help appreciated :).

Right, ewido is scannin, currently on 256 infected objoects!!!! (was given the all clear by the 3 proggs in my first post 20 mins ago lol).
Hijackthis has given me this log:

Try Ewido it has never failed me at all (free and pay versions, the free should work to remove any nasty)

Thanks AJUK.
I consider myself to be super safe when it comes to my surfing and system.
I use spybot S&D and Ad Aware SE twice a week and always update them along with my AV and Firewall.
Still i couldn't resist a try of Ewido. It ran for just under 20mins and picked up 35 issues.
So Ewido is in my protection package from now on and should be used by all.
Lovely interface and an excellent free trial that does extend.
Everybody should use and run this.

Thanks again.

As instructed (i have no idea what it all means mind you :D ):

OK. first off the nasty things. in fact no first off backup your reg (just in case).

Then run hijackthis again, as you need to select:

99% sure these are the nasties. Just double check each entry to make sure you don't recognise the program/website.

and click fix checked

Also these following entries are not really needed unless you use the options:
O9 - Extra button: (no name) - {08B0E5C0-4FCB-11CF-AAA5-00401C608501} - C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_04\bin\npjpi150_04.dll

And any of the other entires that start O8 O9 are right click menu options, remove any you don't need.

I liked it so much I bought the company. No not really but I have an unlimited license (updates and version upgrades for life). :)

Why bother with any of the above?

I run spyware/virus scans every 5 minutes of the day for the past 2 years in my job....

Just do the 100% job, format C:/q and restore, 10x quicker and easier...

Cause its not quicker, you can fix spyware probs in less than the time it takes to install windows. Let alone reinstall all your apps, utils, and not to mention games :)

How can it possibly be quicker to format and restore. Antispyware software quaratine the baddy and then remove it, what can be easier?
