Hi,

I always use adaware..

Is there anything better to remove spyware / malware those kinda nasty evil things?

pls advise

cheers in advance

usually a combination works best

if one of the programmes misses one then hopefully the next will get it

I use spybot, adaware, malwarebytes etc....

Malwarebytes is the pick of the bunch for me at the moment, if I'm pressed for time and I'm on a clients machine I'll ALWAYS use malware bytes now, it is capable of removing more than spybot and can even remove things straight off that things like spybot need a reboot to remove :)

I just tried Super Antispyware had never heard of it, I updated it then did a scan it found 2 problems and fixed them.

I then ran my usual program spybot and it found 49 problems and fixed them so Super Antispyware is going in the bin.

What were the 49 problems? Remember Spybot shows cookies as a problem.

Spybot is a decent app, but I have found it tends to struggles to remove really tough malware, on the other hand SuperAntispyware and MalewareBytes tend to get the job done in my experience

A lot of our client’s Win XP pc’s recently have become infected with the Vundo infection’s many of them downloaded Adaware and Spybot as they are well known apps but both couldn’t remove it, advised them to try SuperAntispyware and MalewareBytes and they reported the malware infections had been removed
