SQL 2005 question

Is it worth purchasing quad core over dual core at the moment for a SQL 2005 system? I've googled for it and can't seem to find much.

With a difference of just over £30 between the Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 and Intel Core 2 Quad Pro Q6600, then it wouldn't do any harm to go quad-core giving the warning below due heed:
