We have had a website designed and had 2 files sent to us from the designer. One is a .bak file which I believe is an SQL backup file? and the other is a .zip file containing images and other data. I have looked on Godaddy website for help on getting it uploaded but am stuck so am wondering if anyone here could help?

I have created a blank SQL database in plesk but there is no option to import dump which is what all info on the web is telling me to do.

Any help appreciated

Cheers

.bak is a database backup, you can restore it to Microsoft SQL Server in SQL Server Management Studio, doesn't sound like you have either...

Management studio is a free download. He can just install it and connect it to his database.

Use the instructions under "Accessing Databases" in the link AHarvey posted above for info on how to connect management studio to your database.
