SQL management 2008

I need to complete an assignment which requires the above software, I can't get into university to use it and asking here, I obviously have a mac.

I've had a browse and it appears there's absolutely no OSX release of SQL management by Microsoft, could anyone provide any ideas or solutions?

The assignments would have to be submitted in the appropriate formats so I'm not sure if there's an OSX equivalent that would be up to the challenge?

For the assignment I need to create an SQL database to store case study data, database queries, entity relationship modelling, relational schemas, data dictionaries etc etc

I have parallels but it's chaotic to run, slows my machine far too much and drives me insane before long however this may be the only option, I was just hoping for other alternatives.
