I tried the code today and I received the following error:-

parameters are not allowed in queries that cannot be displayed graphically..

Sorry, I don't really know.
At this point I would have written a stored procedure or view in the database and called that from excel.
I don't have Excel at home so I can't try it out. Sorry.
