Hi all.

I am thinking of going 64bit, but am worried that SQL server 2000 won't install.

Bit clueless when it comes to difference between 32bit and 64bit, will no 32bit software install on 64bit OS?

Thanks in advance.

From what ive seen it will install, many prrgrams that run with sql 2000 though might have issues with vista 64, dlls etc.
Can you convert to sql 2005? it might well have a better chance of working fully.

want to, but can't. Still using 2000 at work. We are waiting for the release of SQL 2008 before upgrading.

I will give it a bash, worst comes to worse, could I run it in virtual machine?
